Midwest Regional Energy Fair-- Custer , WI

- Energy was everywhere --wind solar hydro -conservation and great ideas

This year Midwest Region Energy  Fair held in Custer , WI was filled with everything energy. Wind, Solar, Hydro and lots of high tech and low tech things to see and learn about. They had some really interesting demonstration on Green building techniques using bales of hay. This was a hands on area.  All of the tents with sessions were filled with interested people on so many different topics--I thought that the auto makers would be there in full force with a whole line of efficient cars and trucks but not so. Ford did have the hybrid Escape. The interesting ones were those that had been converted by individuals -- cars, trucks, cycles and even a tractor to run on  battery, diesel and bio-fuels.

There were 270 exhibitors and loads of session for the attendees--every session tent seemed to be full. I did get see our friends at Backwoods Home Magazine,  Gold Beach, Oregon--Dave Duffy and Annie Tuttle--they had new spot this year but a good one.

More on the show later.

Back
To solve this problem, start by filing the top surface of your tool rest straight and true….eliminating all nicks and gouges along the way. Next, use a fairly coarse sharpening stone to slightly round-over the two back 90o corner edges that will be riding against the rest during cutting.
